Habiba & Wubshet

Kenya and our partners there Wubshet and Habiba, are a couple we love and love to focus on.  They have been in our lives for over 18 years.  Their faithfulness is exemplified in their lives, and their commitment to never cease their love and service to all those they work with.  As a couple, they understand the importance of establishing sustainable development of the whole person and the villages.  They have been doing this for many years and understand thoroughly those under their care.

*   Spiritual mentorship and discipleship
*   Community transformation initiatives
*   Promoting dignity through self-sustainability programs
*   We believe transformation is not just about meeting needs — it is about restoring identity, dignity, and purpose.
*   Through our Empowerment Centre, vulnerable children and youth receive:
*   Education support
*   Life skills training
*   Tailoring and vocational training
*   Mentorship and counseling
*   Spiritual guidance

Lives are being restored step by step.

Stories abound in how they have expanded in breadth and depth, in every place they are vested.

Story of Transformation ...

One of the most powerful testimonies of transformation is about Isabella.

Isabella comes from Kiwanjani village a community where prostitution and illicit brewing are among the main survival activities. Many children grow up exposed to abuse, neglect, and hopelessness.
At the tender age of 9, Isabella lost both of her parents. She was left vulnerable, without protection, guidance, or support. Her future looked uncertain.
Village Hope Renewal Kenya stepped in.
We brought Isabella into our Empowerment Centre. There, she found:

*   Safety
*   Love
*   Mentorship
*   Education support
*   Vocational training in tailoring

At first, she was quiet and withdrawn. But through counseling, discipleship, and skills training, something began to change inside her.  She discovered her talent in tailoring.

Today, Isabella is no longer just an orphaned child. She has become a skilled young woman who makes beautiful dresses. Her work has restored her dignity. She now earns income, supports herself, and even helps others.
What is even more beautiful — she has become a role model in Kiwanjani village.

Young girls who once thought prostitution was their only option now look at Isabella and see another path. She carries dignity back into a village that once knew only survival.

Her life is proof that hope and investing in others works.
Isabella and her new life!
